What is your personal care?
Disclaimer: I am in no way a doctor or therapist; these are purely my personal views.
To get to the point, I follow a wide range of people on Facebook, Instagram, and Tiktok, and I regularly come across posts about personal care that focus primarily on pedicures, manicures, or some passing fad like acupuncture. To be completely honest, I used to believe in these trends, but they didn’t make me happy or relax. On the other side, I was frightened when my expensively painted nail chipped off.
I pondered what “personal” care means to me while I sat there.
I then considered a couple of the things I like to do, such as go for walks with my family, my friends, or even by myself.
Scheduling a yearly physical since it’s sometimes necessary to determine what’s truly going on with your body
Taking long showers and spending as much time as you like without being pressed for time for work or another activity
Consuming fruit (I will not say no to any fruit)
Preparing “my” preferred meals with no time restrictions
Watching a movie with a caramel popcorn
Not touching my laptop or checking my phone or wearing any electronic watch and worrying about exercise rings
Driving without maps or an itinerary from time to time
On Final note, I realized that personal care should be highly personal and not influenced by your Google search history, Instagram algorithm, or advertising offers from your followers.
If you ask me, just sit and think about what you want to do, then take a day off and take care of yourself!
